Advanced Certified Instructor Training and Instructor development days are ongoing programs for instructors in training and fully qualified instructors to further their skills teaching, training and marketing.
There are 4 ID days per year held in swindon these are open to all ACIT's and fully qualified instructors to attend. During these days lots of different topics will be covered such as retention tips, warm up ideas for mighty matts and family classes, sales and marketing, lesson planning effectively, focus ancors and many more.
Most of these days consist of a meeting like session in the morning taking notes and disccussing ideas with fellow instructors and and aftrnoon session after lunch more focused on practical role play, leading warm ups, teaching 5 minuite drills and meets and greets of new and existing students. For these types of days its ideal to wear comfortable clothes (preferably MF branded t-shits/ hoodies) bring a notebook and pens - electronic note pads are also fine. Bring snacks for through the day, for luch you can either bring a lunch with or buy a lunch locally as there are often shops nearby.
Some days will have a lot more practical elements doing physical training, leading longer portions of classes, looking and sharing different drill ideas between each other. For these types of days you will need to wear full MF training uniform with belt (not instructor blue or black) bring sparring kits just incase. Notebook will still be beneficial to write down any ideas you would like to take back to class and try. For lunch a packed lunch would be best as there wont be as long a lunch break to avoid peoples muscles cooling down to much inbetween training portions.
