Panel gradings are run differently to a normal class grading. These are three hour examinations done outside of the usual environment run by one or more of the Masters (4th dregee black belts or higher) They are hard work and will push students to work even harder to receive their next belt.
These gradings are for studdents who are red stripe belts and higher as they are getting closer to their black belts and beyond this is the next challenge.
On these days students must have with them full uniform (Gi top and bottems either white or red and black), their full sparring kits including mouth gaurds and groin gaurds for men/ boys, and their black grading book. Make sure students bring plenty of water to drink as it will be very tiring.
High sugar/ caffine drinks such as coke or Monsters are not advised for the panel gradings - sports drinks such as lucazade are acceptable. Don't bring lots of snacks at there will not be a lunch break during panel grading, if you would like to bring a small packet of sweets or something you can eat quickly during a short water break that is also fine.
Prices of panel gradings differ from previous grades as you get higher up the belts the price does increase (If a student is unsuccesful at a grading the money paid will automatically carry along until they are successful so you wont have to repay)
